The Silver Lake Fall Cleanup was a huge success on October 15th - the inlet cleanup project that was started in spring was finished up with amazing results.  Thanks to our volunteers who came out to help: Caren & Larry Luke, Janet Aliano, Fred & Jane Teeman, Richard Berry and his girls, as well as your board members: Robb Griego - President, Darin Jones - Vice President, Tad Riggert - Treasurer, Laura Kamienski - Secretary, Jim Petermann and Bradley Miller.  Volunteers had donuts from Price Chopper to start off the day and then El Dorado Mexican Restaurant brought the trailer in for the lunch shift.  It was a little crisp starting off, but clothing layers was the key to comfort as the branches fell.

To put this project in perspective it was quoted by a company at $3200 for just the work at the inlet area in April 2020 so you can only imagine what it would be with today’s prices.   In working together with neighbors and the board we are able to stretch the dollars that we have for doing much needed maintenance work.  We look forward to doing another round of projects this coming spring and we would love to have more people involved to make a bigger impact.  Keep watching for more information on that project as we move forward.
