Pool Rules
Pool Hours
Daily, 12:00 pm to 8:00pm
Once school starts: Weekends only, 12:00pm to 8:00pm
Registration / Pool access
· Homes Association dues for the current year must be paid in full
· A Pool Registration form must be completed at the pool by an adult homeowner
· Children under 12 must be accompanied by a resident 15 years or older
· All residents must sign in with the pool monitor
· Non-resident guests must be accompanied by a resident who will be responsible for an accident or damage incurred to or by said guest
· The first 5 guests are free, and additional guests must pay a fee of $1.00 per day - under the age of two are free
· No one under the age of 18 allowed in the pool during adult swim
Safety
Members and guests must adhere to the directions of the lifeguards and pool monitors at all times. Members and guests are not permitted to interfere with or reprimand monitors or employees of the pool management company. The lifeguards and pool monitors have discretionary authority to discipline using the following as guidelines:
· First Offense: Sit out of the pool for 10 minutes
· Second Offense: Leave pool area for one day
· Third Offense: Loss of pool privileges for one week
· Fourth Offense (or flagrant abuse of pool rules): must appear before the SLHA board of directors during the next regularly scheduled board meeting
Infractions include, but are not limited to the following:
· No scooters, bicycles, skateboards, or rollerskates/blades are allowed in the pool area
· No smoking in the pool area
· No glass containers
· No dunking, running, pushing, or horseplay
· No behavior that disturbs other members and guests
· No profane or abusive language
· No pets
· No skinny-dipping or thong swimwear
· No diving
· No running jumps into the pool
The following infractions will result in the below disciplinary action:
a. First Offense: Loss of pool privileges for one week
b. Second Offense: Loss of pool privileges for 90 days (carried over into the next pool season)
Infractions:
· No intoxicated persons
· No drugs or narcotics, or persons under the influence of drugs or narcotics
Additional Pool Rules
· No parties of any kind will be allowed during pool hours. This includes Sunday school parties, birthday parties, family reunions, or day care parties. Please schedule these parties for after 8:00 p.m. with the Silver Lake Clubhouse
· Toys and rafts may be limited at monitor's or lifeguard’s discretion
· Parents are responsible for children in baby pool area
· Toddlers must be accompanied by parent or guardian to the rest rooms for sanitary and safety purposes
· Food and drinks are allowed in designated areas only
· Diapers: children wearing diapers will not be allowed access to the pool unless wearing approved swim diapers
· Members or guests with open sores, cuts, or any contagious disease shall not be admitted access to the pool area
· Urinating or defecating in the pool will cause an immediate closure of the pool for chemical treatment and cleansing
· The pool will be closed for inclement weather, and may reopen later in the day if the weather improves. The monitor and/or lifeguard can make this decision
· Members or guests using profanity, verbal abuse, threats, or violence against a lifeguard, monitor, or any other member or guest will be immediately expelled from the pool area, with loss of pool privileges for 90 days (carried over into the next pool season). Depending on the severity of the violation, the police may be called as well.
