Fishing Derby - 2009 - submitted on Thursday, July 09, 2009

Fishing Derby was a success due to everyone that pitched in.  We'd especially like to thank Jim and Angie for all their hard work and time. We couldn't have done it without them!  We'd also like to thank Sharon Tranovich for helping shop for all the prizes and get organized. Also, a BIG THANKS goes out to Community Bank of Raymore, Price Chopper of Raymore and Barbara Rogers for their donations!

** Extra special thanks to Paul Tranovich for organizing this event !! **

I think we had about 23 kids show up and over 30 fish were caught and released.  A great time was had by all.

Egging, Tire Slashing, and gouging paint off vehicles occurred Saturday night between 11pm and 1am in SkyVue Estates.
They hit cars along Finch, Toucan and Lark. The police were called.
This has been going on for a month. The damaged occurred to cars parked in driveways.

Teachers and Parents with teenagers -- Please talk to your children. It is very likely they have heard rumors in school of who is responsible for all this damage.

Please contact Police with any information.

Lucy Webb / Madison Closure - submitted on Friday, October 10, 2008

We have recently learned from the City of Raymore that the intersection of Lucy Webb and Madison will be CLOSED for a minimum of three weeks (weather permitting) beginning shortly.  They have apologized in advance for the inconvenience, but the work that will be done to the intersection will leave the area unsafe for traffic during this time and it just isn't something that can be avoided.  As soon as a closure date is selected, it will be posted on a sign in the area of the intersection one week in advance of the closure.

Pool Opening - submitted on Sunday, May 25, 2008

As of May 31, the pool is open.

New pool hours will be 12 am to 8 pm daily. The change in the pool hours were made to better accomodate the Silver Lake Homes Association members who have attended the monthly association meetings and voiced their requests / opinions. Some association members have been requesting an earlier opening time, and other members have expressed a desire to be able to have more pool time with the club house rentals. The new pool hours instituted accomodate both! Being active with your Silver Lake Homes Association is the best way to insure that your association works as hard as possible for you and your neighbor's interests.

We were notified Thursday, May 15 that the company we had signed with to service our pool this summer has closed its doors. Due to internal problems with them they are going out of business. We are currently contacting other companies to see if they can come in and take on our pool.

> Please email us at info@silverlakeraymore.net with any questions about the pool.

Board Elections and Budget - submitted on Tuesday, April 08, 2008

The following persons were elected to the Board of Directors at the Annual Meeting: Jerri Keith, Chris Bletscher, and John Rogers were re-elected to the Board. Thank you to those who voted.

The Board of Directors were very disappointed at the lack of interest on the part of the homeowners. We needed at least 75 homes participation in the voting for this year's budget; approximately 50 votes were cast for the budget. This is the second year in a row that we have not had enough present to pass the budget. As a result of this situation we will be operating on the budget from 2006. Another meeting may be called by the majority of the members if a large expenditure becomes necessary because the 2006 budget does not allow it.

Lucy Webb Expansion - submitted on Tuesday, April 08, 2008

In the Spring of 2008, the City will be widening Lucy Webb from Silver Top Ln to S. Madison. A sidewalk will be added to the North side of Lucy Webb. This will affect the boat ramp entrance. One of our board members has been following this project and will be keeping us up tp date.
